A global outlook


   Abstract

Almost overnight, it seems, most of us find ourselves part of a new global economy: a world in which former boundaries of time and distance have been erased by technology. The internet has made the world a smaller place; a mere 15 years ago, email, web shops and online banking were just dreams. Today, online services are relied upon because of the 24-hour-a-day convenience they offer.
