   Abstract

Human biometrics and fingerprint analysis are rarely out of the news these days and now it looks as if scientists have come up with a way of identifying individual animals remotely too. Justin Richards recently caught up with Tilo Burghardt and Innes Cuthill to find out about a new penguin recognition project they have been working on.
