   Abstract

The security industry is always looking for the silver bullet – a solution which can protect data from malicious attackers and miscreants, poorly coded applications and lazy security practices. Emerging technologies always claim to be bigger, better and faster, but contrary to expectations, they offer no more protection than the humble password. Indeed many of these futuristic solutions have their own fallibilities and will struggle to cut it as standalone solutions.
