  Abstract

The world of outsourcing has won. The Chinese government, under the leadership of Chairman Hu, decided just before the turn of the century that it was time to change the view of the world about Chinese products: they created a competitive, quality-based market that was to change life as we know it. The move towards quality, which was rewarded by both national and local governments, was unstoppable.
